The Schachter Energy Report is an investment research publication focused on the Canadian Energy Sector and published by Schachter Energy Research Services Inc. (“Schachter Energy Research”) based in Calgary, Alberta. The investment research is not intended to provide specific tailored investment advice to any subscriber and is not to be used for commercial resale.
The founder and principal contributor to the Schachter Energy Report is Josef Schachter. He has been conducting investment research for 40 years. The companies covered by Josef Schachter do not pay him for publishing research, nor does he receive stock grants or options from those companies.
Josef Schachter’s research is focused on benefiting subscribers by giving them independent and objective investment research to assist subscribers in making informed investment decisions with the help of their investment advisors.
Directors and employees of Schachter Energy Research, and their immediate families, and service providers with access to company information contained in the Schachter Energy Report prior to publishing, have contractually agreed to:
- refrain from purchasing or selling shares in any company profiled in our Coverage List until five business days after the publication of the Schachter Energy Report which discloses this company information; and
- refrain from purchasing or selling shares of any company mentioned in an Action Alert until five business days after that Action Alert is issued by email. An Action Alert will be sent by email when any covered company reaches a Schachter Energy Report Price Target. This is to allow our subscribers first chance to act on the research contained in our report.
Directors and employees of Schachter Energy Research and their immediate families may, from time to time, have a financial or other interest in companies profiled in the Schachter Energy Report and such interests will disclosed in the applicable Schachter Energy Report. Any contractual relationship between a director or employee of Schachter Energy Research and a company profiled in the Schachter Energy Report will also be disclosed.
It is a violation of law to reproduce or distribute all or part of our reports to anyone (including but not limited to others in the same company or group) by any means, including but not limited to photocopying, printing, faxing, scanning, emailing and website posting without the prior written consent of Schachter Energy Research.

This policy outlines the kinds of information we collect when you visit our website, use our services or purchase our products. It also explains how we use and disclose that information.
Schachter Energy Research Services Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”), a Canadian Company based in Calgary, Alberta, operates the www.schachterenergyreport.ca website (“Website”). When you visit our Website, subscribe to our services or purchase products, you specifically and knowingly choose to disclose “Personal Information” which we define as your name, email address, mailing address, telephone and cell numbers, username, password, credit card information and any other information as required for us to conduct our business and provide the requested services or products. This information is processed and stored by reputable third party e-mail and credit card processing suppliers who represents to us that their web servers are very secure.
It is your sole responsibility to update your personal information. You may access your personal information at any time by logging into your account. If you do not have an account and wish to update your information please email our Support Centre at support@schachterenergyreport.ca with the updated information.
2. Collecting Automated Information
Log Data and Cookies
We, and service providers acting on our behalf, may use services such as Google Analytics to gather certain other information and store it in log files. This information includes but is not limited to internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type and version, the pages of our Website you visit, time spent on certain pages, time and date of each visit, your internet service provider (ISP) and other such statistics. It is used for the internal purposes of improving our Website or identifying additional products or services that may be of interest to subscribers.
We also collect information contained in log files using cookies, which are pieces of data that are transferred to your computer or mobile device. We use cookies to allow authentication for access to subscriber-only areas of our Website and to assure that the content you view is appropriate to your subscription status. From time to time, we may revise this Privacy Policy. If we make revisions that change the way we collect or use your Personal Information, those changes will be posted in this Privacy Policy and the effective date will be noted at the top of the Privacy Policy.
